Hello! Today I decided to use this website to write about my progress towards completing my Living Dex. I chose to begin my adventure with Pokemon Emerald, my favorite game of all time, and I just wrapped up my third day of filling up my Pokedex.
First off, I decided to catch and register as many of the ones I deemed easy to find and evolve. Most of them are common in the wild, and only a few require special evolution methods. I didn't use any exploits aside from the Battle Tower cloning glitch to get more stones and Exp. Shares (grinding in the old games are a pain!).
On day 1, I finished my warmup run with 20 Pokemon caught, and on day 2 I more than tripled it with 62. Today was day 3, and I managed to get the roster up to 98.
You might have noticed that these are all exclusively pokies introduced in Hoenn. I just thought it was neat to do complete them first! Once I'm done with that section of the Pokedex, I'm might cross-trade with my FireRed/Leafgreen saves to get the fellas introduced in Kanto and Johto.
As for the special mons I have yet to find, like Deoxys...I will have to resort to more...mysterious means to get them. Don't blame me! We literally cannot GET THEM get them! :P
